Capel Hardcourts Upgrade

When the Shire of Capel needed to upgrade its out-dated recreational facilities it used Geographe Civil for the most cost effective solution to serve the community needs.

The Shire of Capel had earmarked old netball courts to be redeveloped into a new multi-purpose hard court facility.  Geographe Civil carried out earthworks, stormwater drainage, electrical lighting, roadworks, retaining walls, installation of concrete courts and landscaping works.

Major earthworks were required to level the site and a limestone retaining wall was constructed around the perimeter.

As construction began towards the end of summer, the project team was required to have a flexible works program which could be quickly altered to undertake concrete pours, acrylic surfacing and line marking during windows of good weather.

The contract was successfully completed on time and the hard courts now represent an important part of the community infrastructure in Capel.
