Cell 4B Upgrade
Faced with a tight seasonal deadline and an urgent need for additional capacity at its Dardanup landfill site, Transpacific Industries engaged Geographe Civil to undertake major earthworks.
A multidisciplinary team was deployed to site at the beginning of summer to complete the project by winter. The project included planning and completion of earthworks, drainage, installation of an HDPE liner, roads and placement of drainage aggregate.
The team was also required to excavate the existing waste site to locate the liner and attach and extend the liner to construct the new waste cell.
Precision work was required to pinpoint and join the existing liner safely and extensive measures were adopted to ensure the safety of employees while working on a waste site.
Geographe Civil worked within a tight timeframe leading up to winter to construct the waste site, delivering the project on time and on budget and adhering to the client’s strict quality assurance process and Department of Environment Regulation’s (DER) requirements.
Transpacific continues to engage Geographe Civil for ongoing site works and maintenance and the construction of the next landfill cell.
