Harvey Agricultural
College Water Mains

When Perkins Builders needed a specialist contractor to complete the complex task of installing a new water main at Harvey Agricultural College, they chose Geographe Civil. Geographe Civil has a respected, longstanding reputation in maintenance and installation of water infrastructure and working alongside multiple service providers.

The project required careful coordination and liaison with more than 10 service authorities to install and connect a new 1.5km water main along the South West Highway from the Wokalup Tavern to the Harvey Agricultural College on Mornington Road.

The Geographe Civil team were required to adhere to all service providers’ requirements and work around several items of critical infrastructure including Telstra’s Perth to Adelaide optical fibre line, and the major Dampier to Bunbury gas pipeline.

The project team maintained close communications with the service providers and implemented a comprehensive management process and schedule to ensure all requirements were met. The project was completed successfully on time and with no unplanned interruptions to other services.
