Aqwest Water Recovery Scheme in Bunbury

Progress on underground service installation as part of the Aqwest Water Recovery Scheme in Bunbury.

Our crew has been completing common service trenching works at the new Recycled Wastewater Treatment Plant to install water supply, electrical and communications infrastructure within a shared service corridor. Conduits and pipework have been positioned with the required separation and levels, followed by the installation of marker tape above the services to ensure clear identification and protection during any future excavation works.

With the services now set, the trench is prepared for staged backfilling to secure the pipework and reinstate the trench line, marking another step forward in the delivery of this project.

Once complete, the scheme will deliver recycled water from the Recycled Wastewater Treatment Plant to the Hay Park Sporting Precinct via a 4 km pipeline. The project will supply recycled water for irrigation of public open space while reducing demand on groundwater resources and supporting sustainable water use in the Bunbury region.
